Terms of sale

Sales are not yet open (pre-launch page, waitlist only) — these Terms of Sale describe the planned operation and will be completed with registration information before sales open.

Purpose

These Terms of Sale govern the sale by Stephen Fafournoux of a usage license for the Caption Build software, for perpetual use ("for life"), non-exclusive and non-transferable, for a maximum of 2 simultaneous devices.

Price and payment

Founder price: €59 including tax, one-time payment, limited to the first 50 activated licenses. Once this quota is reached, an intermediate price of €99 including tax is planned, then a public price of €149 including tax at the official launch of sales. These last two amounts are forecast prices: the product has never yet been sold at these prices and they are not 100% fixed, they may still change before sales open. The founder price, however, is guaranteed to the first 50 buyers who benefit from it. Payment is processed by Stripe; no banking data is stored by us.

Delivery

The license key is generated and sent immediately after payment is validated, on the confirmation page and by backup email.

"Satisfied or refunded" guarantee — 14 days

Caption Build is digital content delivered immediately after purchase. As such, the legal right of withdrawal (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code) does not, in principle, apply, unless the consumer expressly waives it at the time of purchase. Independently of this legal framework, we offer a contractual commercial guarantee: full refund on simple request within 14 days of purchase, no justification required.

Warranties and liability

The software is provided "as is". We make every effort to ensure it works properly but do not guarantee absolute availability or compatibility with every hardware configuration.

Usage limit

A license can be activated on a maximum of 2 devices, simultaneously.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms of Sale are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute not resolved amicably, the consumer has the right to use a consumer mediator free of charge. The competent mediator will be designated and their contact details added here before sales open, once the professional status (sole proprietorship or company) is registered — this designation depends on it.
